The Trip
Like a lot of pimply teenagers in early 90’s NZ, I was introduced to a lot of new bands via a compilation cassette called The Trip. I found out about Sonic Youth, Mudhoney, Ministry, Henry Rollins, and Dinosaur Jr. among others. It seemed like everyone had a copy of the tape and it was the go-to album to put on—sooner or later your favourite song would come on—it was that good.
I recently came across the tracklisting for the compilation in a text file on my computer so I thought I’d put it up here for posterity:
